Jenny's Bridal Shower

This is a long one folks.
But totally worth it.

I feel bad its taken me so long to recount this, but a few weeks ago I hauled Ev up to Portland to hang at the zoo and help throw Jenny a shower.

Evie climbed stairs and played with her cousins while Darcee, Darel, Julie and I worked on the deets for the party.

Everybody loves playing with Keith's walker.

Hulk Smash!

For favors at the party with made cake bites. (140 of them!)

Darel was SUPER helpful.

So was Ally.

Ally decided that quesadillas dipped in sprinkles would make for a good lunch.
She would definitely destroy the dessert round on "Chopped."

Favors.

Since I am the reigning Queen of cheesy love poems, I wrote this to go next to the favors.

Jenny's wedding colors were aqua, silver, black, and white. We wanted to incorporate aqua but still have it be a little different from the wedding. We kept the food simple. On the Menu:
Mini BBQ sandwiches, mini mac n cheese, fruit kabobs, veggies, chocolate covered strawberries, and peanut butter brownie bites for dessert.

I saved what felt like a million baby food jars so I could paint them and put flowers in them for the shower. I was sweating before we put the flowers in because they looked ghetto, but with the flowers it looked pretty good.

This silverware is from the Dollar Store. Totally plastic, but it looks pretty legit.

And here are a million pictures of the ceiling because it took me FOREVER to put it up. I used Dollar Store tablecloths and balloons. (Are you sensing a trend here?)

Julie made the mini mac n cheeses. Not only are they totally adorable, they were DELICIOUS. I might have had three. Call me Fatty.

And now the guest of honor Jenny, with Katie and Deb.

Darel was a slave in the kitchen.

Moi.

Another kitchen slave, Julie.

We played a fun game at the shower. I made tiaras and mustaches and then Darcee collected facts about Jenny and Tanner. Darc would read a fact and then you would hold up the mustache if you thought it was Tanner and the tiara if you thought it was Jenny.

Everybody loved their mustaches.

Darel went for the classic "Hitler."

It suits her.

Jenny prefers the "Titanic."

I took so many pictures of Jenny opening gifts, but I don't have the energy to post them all. She made a haul!

Darc's bum.
(Yeah, she works out)

This is my ribbon runner. More pictures to come of this. It also took me a very long time to construct. I got 90% of the ribbon from ... you guessed it! The Dollar Store.

Now that I've taken care of my real mustache, I'm not so shy about playing with fake ones.

Darc and Jenny.

Sorry, more runner pics.

Katie, Moi, Jenny, Darel, Darc.

We had so much fun planning and executing Jenny's shower. Jenny is the most down-to-earth, fun-loving person and I'm so glad that I got to be apart of her party. Plus she's going to make one smoking hot wife!
