Tulip Festival 2010

Yesterday we went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point with our friends Mike and Lauren. We had a wonderful time! As you can see we are saving up for a nice camera, but for the time being, enjoy our pictures from a point-and-shoot.

The gang.

The boys.
The girls.
The soon-to-be Reids, June 12, 2010.

Beyond excited to be in the Tulips.
*Please notice Lauren "raising the roof" in the center of the photo.*

The next few photos taken by Nigel Barker AKA Nick Jordan.

I stole this from someone else's blog because I just finished my History 315 final last night and my class was about the Jews and the Holocaust. If only the worst genocide of the 20th century could have been avoided by Rock-Paper-Scissors.

Diego knows more about Rock-Paper-Scissors than anyone I know. Growing up we called it Jan-ken-pon because Diego wanted us to feel more cultured, so he taught us the Japanese way.

It looks something like this, except we didn't get the protective oven mitts:

Aiko desho!

The Great Barrier Reef

Someone recently built a fortress (out of pillows) the size of the Great Barrier Reef in our bed.

The prevaricator: The husband.
The reason: The wife radiates too much body heat.
The consequence: The husband has to take down and re-build his fortress each night. Its impossible to make a bed amidst "The Great Pillow Reef."

If our pillow reef looked like this, I might consider living in Utah a little longer.
But it doesn't.
And I can't wait to leave.

The Easter bunny came to our house this weekend!
Unfortunately, he was too speedy and we didn't get any pictures.
Nor did we take any pictures of conference or anything else that happened this weekend.

However, highlights of our weekend include:
- Falling asleep at 9 PM on Friday night (glorious)
- Conference Saturday and Sunday
- Sticky buns
- Seeing the new Miley Cyrus movie with our friends Mike and Lauren. (we all cried)
- Buying a pair of shorts for 72 CENTS at gap. (originally $50)

The Story: My friend Lauren and I went into Gap while we were waiting for our boys to be done with Priesthood Session. We both bought a pair of shorts (about six sizes too big for us) for 72 Cents and $1.00, respectively. We plan to alter them to fit us - but if it doesn't work out, 72 Cents isn't that big of a deal. IF it does work out ... that will be the deal of a lifetime. What is that - like 99.9% off?

- In equally exciting news, Nick and I both applied for graduation.

I feel lame for not having any pictures.
And this post doesn't make much sense.
