Your Opinion Matters!

In light of current posts by my astonishingly beautiful wife, I have taken to heart the hurtful comments by all those who object to my piece of art known to most as "The Antique Fish". Without further biased comments, I will now ask you to let your voice be heard by voting on the fate of the fish. The voice of the people will be heard, but ultimately the fish lives under my dominion and tyrannical rule and so I alone will determine what happens to the fish.

Cast your vote now! (Poll located on the right side of our blog.)

Fitzwilliam Darcy

I have no legitimate reason to put this in here. But lets be honest - Do I need one?

Moving on. Thanks everyone for your emails about pregnancy! You guys are amazing and I'm sure my project will turn out dandy. In other news, I am currently taking 9 credits and working. For those of you who are considering EVER putting yourself through something similar, please know that I currently look like this:

My husband is starving, I'm out of shampoo, I quit doing laundry a week ago, and ... after three weeks in our new apartment, it still looks like we just moved in. However, I promised myself that 8 extremely difficult weeks would be worth not having to take classes summer term. I know that I will be grateful for killing myself Spring semester when Mr. Jordan and I are enjoying ourselves in July and August.

Speaking of enjoying myself, the Grey's Anatomy Season Finale is TONIGHT. Remember that one time I complained about taking 9 credits and having an impossible amount of school work? Nope, neither do I.

And to prove that I am blatantly ignoring my school work, I will announce perhaps the best news circulating the globe at his moment.
Wait for it.....
In LESS than 24 hours, I will be on a plane to Portland, where I will squeeze, hug, kiss, snuggle, maul, love, and pinch these little people until I have to leave Sunday night:

My sanity needs this. Scratch that. My sanity needs THEM. Unfortunately, babies have to sleep, so I will have to let them out of my sight for a few moments. Luckily, Darcee and I will have the much needed opportunity to make 4-5 pans of Scotcheroos, eat our feelings, and talk about life. It gets better!
Wait for it....
You are probably wondering how my life could get any better than fatty treats and chubby babies... Mamacita and Lil' D will also be joining the festivities in P-Town! Its going to be a bootylicious weekend for sure.

Sadly, we can't all have our cake and eat it too.
Sister #2 is currently galavanting the globe with Michelle Obama or something like that, so she won't be able to make the party, but her life is cooler than everyone else's so I figure its okay. Fortunately for Sister #2, She's hot and unbelievably tan 365 days a year.

EXHIBIT A:

If any of you still believe sister #2 is CAUCASIAN, please call me. I will give you a legitimate list of reasons why sister #2 CANNOT be white. (Besides the obvious)

In equally devastating news, my partner-in-crime will also be MIA this weekend.
What will I do without this face?
Suddenly I remember why Fitzwilliam Darcy was on my mind.
Don't feel too sorry for my Mr. Darcy - He will be in Vegas on a golf course with Mr. Bingley this weekend.

Help Me Rhonda!

Are you currently pregnant or have you ever been pregnant?
If your answer is YES then please help me with a school project!
I am currently taking American Folklore and for my folklore project I am compiling folklore about diet and health during pregnancy.
Were you told you eat certain foods to determine the gender of your baby? Have you heard strange rumors regarding exercising during pregnancy? What weird stories have you heard concerning pregnancy, diet, and health?
Any information helps and it will make my project amazing! If are willing to help, you can email me at sydneyljordan@gmail.com or you can leave your email in the comments and I will contact you. I'll just need to ask you a few detailed questions! Thank you so much!

Here is a quite update on our lives. I am currently taking NINE credits and working and I feel like my life is a vortex spinning out of control. Nick is interning at Creative Marketing, working, and studying NON STOP for the LSAT. He's amazing.

We recently moved to Orem into a basement apartment. When life slows down I will take a picture of the darling house we live in. Our landlords are in our ward and they are the nicest sweetest people and we love living below them. They have a cute garden and our yard is full of tulips. While our home looks more put together than the picture below, we still have a lot of work to do. Unfortunately the unpacking will have to wait until Spring semester is over.

Recently Nick and I were talking about building a house someday. However, what I did not realize before we got married was our different tastes concerning home decor. Displayed below is an example of Nick's excellent home decor flavor. We had a conversation about this "fish" last night. It went something like this:

Me: I can't wait until we have a place we can afford to decorate the way we like. Then we won't have to put our ghetto Color Me Mine projects on the shelves.

Nick: What are you talking about? My fish?

Me: SILENCE (realizing I've pinched a nerve and instantly regretting my decision to bad mouth Nick's most precious homemade piece of art)

Nick: That thing looks like its from an antique store! People would kill to have art like that in their home!

Me: Laughing, but feeling slightly guilty since my husband is dead serious.

Nick: Are you laughing? I'm being serious! Everyone comments on how classy that fish is! It should be in an antique store!

Me: Laughing to the point of crying.

Nick: Offended, stomps off taking the fish with him to bed.

How could you not love this guy? He knows all about "antiques."
THE ANTIQUE FISH

Just a few pics of our 1 year anniversary before we went to dinner. You can't see but there are boxes EVERYWHERE. We had a great time despite our crazy move that weekend.

Too Late to Apologize: A Declaration

I am currently taking HIST390R - The British Empire and the World. I could not resist posting the video we watched in class today. If Michael Scott thinks Ben Franklin is sexy, then so do I.

Uno Mas Por Favor

One year ago (yesterday) Nick and I were married in the Newport Beach Temple. I think we both can say that it has been a beyond fun year. We love being married and enjoyed being able to take a break from moving to go to dinner and a movie (Disney's Oceans) to celebrate. It was a hectic weekend with the move, but luckily I'm married to someone who never forgets to make me feel special. All I can say is - uno mas! I wish we could keep having all the "firsts" that we had our first year, but I know there are many more firsts in our future.
Mr. Jordan, I love you!
