Whose Wedding is it Anyway?

One of Nick's best friends, Hyrum got married last week. Hyrum's fiance lived in California when they were engaged, so Nick and Hyrum practically dated when I was in France. Whenever Arleene would come to visit we would always have so much fun double dating and they've both become really great friends. They were married in the Mt. Timpanogos temple by Joseph R. McConkie. It was a really beautiful sealing. I'm so glad I was able to see a sealing before I get married on Friday. Nick was a groomsman, so he had a blast taking pictures and the whole day was just perfect. Great weather and the flowers were incredible! All the tulips were in bloom and it was really sunny. Hopefully we can say the same on Friday for the Newport temple!  Nick and I are so blessed to have such great friends setting a good example by getting married in the temple. Hyrum and Arleene will live two doors down from us in our complex this summer so we are really excited to have close friends nearby. We are just so happy that Hyrum and Arleene are married because it means that it's finally our turn! We've been saying how we just have to make it to their wedding and then we can make it to ours. And ours is just about here! Its crazy to think that we only have 3 days until we are married forever! I keep telling Nick that this is a clearance sale with no returns. He doesn't seem to be bothered, but remind me to ask him that in a year. He will probably be ready to return me.

The Handyman (and woman) Can

Who knew I was engaged to such a handy man? Apparently not me! Nick and I have made a few trips to Ikea in hopes that some furniture would find us. For Easter, Nick surprised me with our first bedroom set! He built the bed with Tyler and together the two of us built the rest. As you can see, we had our work cut out for us. Our set came with TWO dressers and TWO nightstands (which connect to the bed). Anyway, we have been slaving away trying to get it all done so we can move our stuff in before we head down to CA. We are very excited about our furniture and are beginning to feel like our empty apartment is slowly becoming a home.
