3rd Annual Hero-Up Race

This has nothing to do with Hero-Up. It's just darn cute.

This girl is super into dressing herself lately and we are just rolling with it. Usually it does not look this cute when she "does it herself." IE: Troll pants, My Little Pony T-shirt, Minnie Mouse tutu and rainboots. Basically, she's awesome.

Okay, the race. We packed up and headed to Grand Central Station - the Burnett Residence.

This cheeser. The second we entered Aunt Dot's house in Portland she had to have a bowl of cereal (even though we stopped at McDonald's on the way).

Elle was SO excited to see her Aunt Syd.

My mask was so tight it made it hard to smile. Also, it was 5 in the morning.

Race day is always so exciting and crazy. These two fit right in! Also, can you believe they drove 12 hours for just two days? They are amazing. Also, I think they won the prize for most wild blackberries eaten during the race.

My Grandma has more instagram followers than your Grandma.

I watched my friend Tara's kids for an extended weekend. She has six, but took the youngest with her (she's Anna's age) so I tended the oldest five. So five plus my two plus Clarissa is EIGHT CHILDREN. You read that right. EIGHT. All the kids were well behaved, but wowzers! At the end of every day I was so tired. Also, having kids in school is awful. They come home and it's nothing but homework for three hours! I'm never sending my kids to school. Seriously.

My girls looked so darling this Sunday, I was determined to get a picture. However, when we showed up for dinner at my parents and still hadn't taken one, I decided that their driveway made for an awesome background.

Chelsea Actually Gets Married (Part Three)

Only three parts necessary! Wahoo!

Here's some of the wedding prep: flowers, flowers and you guessed it ... more flowers!

Family dinner the night before. I ate my dinner in about 3.5 seconds and Nick and I spent the remainder wrangling children and walking them outside the restaurant. 

Weddings + small children = no bueno.

It was almost 100 degrees! We were all dripping in sweat by the time the lovebirds came out.

Anna was super helpful when we took down decorations at the reception (IE: hiding under tables).
